DESC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional or Trainee (SUDP or SUDPT) to work within DESC's SUD program, providing assessments, intake evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination with mental health and housing staff.

Candidates must be licensed in WA as SUDP or SUDPT, with SUDPT candidates enrolled in an approved educational program. The role involves group facilitation, staff training, and collaboration on a multidisciplinary team to support homeless clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Washington as a Substance Use Disorder Professional or SUD Professional Trainee in good standing.
• SUDPT: currently enrolled in an educational program to meet WA requirements.

Responsabilités

• Perform alcohol and drug assessments, and intake evaluations on selected clients; develop support and treatment plans.
• Plan, organize and facilitate treatment and support groups for clients.
• Provide substance abuse consultation to Mental Health and Housing Program staff.
• Provide staff training on substance abuse issues as appropriate.
• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing ongoing advocacy and integration of services.
