DESC (Downtown Emergency Service Center) in Seattle is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP/SUDPT) for a full-time, day-shift role at multiple locations. The position collaborates with care teams to provide integrated SUD services, using harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Washington as a Substance Use Disorder Professional or SUDP/SUDPT Trainee.
• SUDP: fully licensed; SUDPT: enrolled in an approved education program per DOH requirements.
• Experience engaging clients who are difficult to engage in therapeutic settings.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to cooperation and continuity across programs and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform substance use disorder assessments, intake evaluations, and individual/group therapy.
• Create ISP with clients and coordinate care within DESC and with external partners.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing SUDPT learning activities.
• Coordinate care conferences with care teams and participate in QA/QI meetings.
• Maintain required documentation and comply with DESC and King County policies.
• Support research activities and keep credential licensing up to date.
