Job summary

Lifeline Connections in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Substance Use Dependency Professional Trainee to provide counseling and case management for clients within a comprehensive behavioral health program.

The role involves assisting supervisory staff, managing daily treatment activities, and training junior staff. Requires a relevant bachelor's degree and coursework toward the WA SUDP credential, with strong communication and crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology or addictions studies required.
• Course work in Substance Use dependency, human sciences or related field required.
• Successful completion of at least one course per quarter/semester toward educational requirements to obtain an active WA SUDP credential required.
• Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and ability to set therapeutic limits within an agency milieu.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and case management for clients.
• Assist supervisory staff and Program Director with program review and daily treatment activities.
• Lead treatment groups and develop discharge/aftercare plans.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Provide crisis intervention and motivational counseling to clients and collaterals.
