Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Substitute Instructor to work in a regular classroom, delivering instruction in designated subject areas and maintaining an orderly, motivating environment for students at the Laredo Job Corps Center.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Texas Substitute Teaching permit, with a preferred valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. This is a part-time position in a residential career training program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Texas Substitute Teaching permit required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

• The Substitute Instructor maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Hourly Rate: $21.00-$24.00
