Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Substitute Instructor to join our Job Corps program in Monroe, VA. The role involves presenting instruction in designated subjects, promoting a positive classroom atmosphere, and maintaining discipline to maximize learning outcomes.

The position supports students aged 16–24, with duties including attendance tracking and record keeping. High school diploma is required; teaching certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Teaching certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred; pass a drug screen.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

• The Substitute Instructor maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
