Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Substitute Instructor to support the Old Dominion Job Corps in Virginia. The role involves delivering instruction in a designated subject area and maintaining a positive classroom environment to maximize student motivation and learning.

The position requires a high school diploma (teaching certification preferred) and a valid driver’s license. A drug screen and a nationwide background check are required. Up to 29 hours per week at $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Teaching certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.
