Eckerd Connects in Laredo, TX is seeking a Part-Time Career & Technical Substitute Teacher to deliver instruction in designated subjects and maintain classroom discipline. You will foster a motivating, positive classroom environment while recording attendance and managing student records.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a Texas Substitute Teaching permit and 1–2 years of classroom experience; a valid driver’s license may be preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Texas Substitute Teaching permit required.
• 1–2 years of classroom experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen and a nationwide criminal background check.

• The Career & Technical Substitute Teacher performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area of Career Technical Training Trades.
• Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
• The Substitute Teacher maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Career & Technical Substitute Teacher performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area of Career Technical Training Trades.

• The Substitute Teacher maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.
