Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher who demonstrates excellent Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching students.

The role requires completing substitute teacher training and teaching LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, delivering lessons from the LifeWise curriculum while maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment and

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
  • Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
  • Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
  • Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records
  • Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom
  • Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
  • Know procedures for emergency situations

  • Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
