Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church participation. The role involves delivering LifeWise lessons, implementing curriculum, and maintaining a safe, orderly classroom.

The substitute will cooperate with teachers, attend training, manage attendance, and communicate with volunteers. Candidates should model the LifeWise policies and uphold the program's disciplinary standards in all classes.

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records by taking attendance in each class and providing records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean and well-ordered classroom and know procedures for emergencies
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
