LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis in Iowa. The role requires a mature Christian faith and active church involvement, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students.

The substitute will complete required training, implement provided lesson plans, and maintain a safe, organized classroom while following LifeWise policies and discipline guidelines. Collaboration with teachers and volunteers is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties; communicate with the teacher.
