Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain records: take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain classroom: keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Communicate: act as an ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
• Communicate with the teacher.

Overview

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
