Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Substitute Paraeducator for the Early Head Start program in Guernsey, WY. You will assist the Lead Teacher to prepare materials, support children birth to three years old, and provide individualized care and developmentally appropriate activities.

Responsibilities include recruiting for the program, delivering infant/toddler care, facilitating group activities, and completing required paperwork on time while adhering to Head Start/EHS standards

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be 18+ years old (state requirements).
• Must obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within a specified time frame. Training and support provided by WCFD.
• Must undertake additional training or certifications as required by Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc.
• Degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education must be from eligible programs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program according to DHHS and WCFD guidelines.
• Provide infant/toddler care based on child development knowledge.
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff in various settings.
• Communicate positively with staff, children, and families through verbal and nonverbal means.
• Assist with individual family service plan (IFSP) and/or individual education plan (IEP) goals.
