Job summary

Jackson School District is seeking a part-time custodial worker to support cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, offices, and common areas on a flexible, as-needed basis. The position offers training, with an ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria, as assigned
• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums, floors
• Cleans and disinfects the drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals in restrooms on a daily basis as assigned
• Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas, as needed
• Removes trash as assigned
• Ability to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand for long periods of time
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Custodial Night Supervisor

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
