Job summary

Jackson School District is hiring for a full-time custodial position with a 40-hour work week and a schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role belongs to the Teamster bargaining group. The pay rate is $20.65 per hour and requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with training provided for those without experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria as assigned.
• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums floors.
• Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals daily.
• Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas as needed.
• Removes trash as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand long periods.

Job Duties Expected:

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria, as assigned
• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums, floors
• Cleans and disinfects the drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals in restrooms on a daily basis as assigned
• Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas, as needed
• Removes trash as assigned
• Ability to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand for long periods of time
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Custodial Night Supervisor
• Must have or get black seal license within one year
