Job summary

Jackson School District in California seeks a part-time Custodian to clean classrooms, offices, corridors, and the cafeteria on an as-needed basis, with a maximum of 29 hours per week.

No experience is required—training is provided. A valid NJ Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, corridors, and cafeteria.
• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums; cleans restrooms daily.
• Fills paper and soap dispensers; removes trash as assigned.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Foreman or Night Supervisor.

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Job Duties Expected

• Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria, as assigned


• Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums, floors


• Cleans and disinfects the drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals in restrooms on a daily basis as assigned


• Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas, as needed


• Removes trash as assigned


• Ability to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand for long periods of time


• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Custodial Night Supervisor
