Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Estimator to prepare bottoms up cost estimates for Substation, Transmission, Distribution and Gas projects. You will work with Sr. Estimators and project teams to refine costs using phase-based documentation and KPIs.

Strong Excel and estimating software experience required. The role requires collaboration with project managers and engineering teams to ensure accurate budgets and informed decision-making, with potential extended hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Technical Field.
• 2-4 years related experience, or 3-6 years with no degree.
• Ability to build estimates from a project diagram, detailed design, or scope.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Develop Phase 1, 2, and 3 cost estimates in WBS format with assumptions.
• Perform forecasting, variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Maintain standard material and labor unit costs for estimates.
• Develop unit cost and parametric estimates for standard work scopes.
• Update estimates with phase approvals and conduct peer reviews.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to challenge estimates.
