Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced cost estimator to prepare bottom-up and parametric estimates for Substation, Transmission, Distribution and Gas projects. You will walk down sites with the project team and refine estimates through phase 1–3 documentation, supporting business planning and cash flow projections.

Responsibilities include developing unit costs, updating cost databases, and leading estimate reviews with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field with strong financial acumen.
• Experience building and reviewing project estimates and budgets across phases.
• Ability to interface with all management levels and run stakeholder meetings.
• Proficiency with Excel, cost databases, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop Phase 1–3 cost estimates in WBS format with required assumptions.
• Conduct forecasting, variance analysis and KPI tracking for estimates.
• Maintain labor and material cost databases and update unit costs.
• Prepare for estimate challenges and document lessons learned.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure clear communication of estimates.
