Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Technical Training Instructor for a Fortune 500 utility client in Providence, RI. You will deliver hands-on and classroom training on Electric Substation Operations and Maintenance to field crews, with occasional on-site travel from the Providence office.

Responsibilities include designing procedures, checklists, and job aids; coordinating reviews with Safety and Engineering Standards; maintaining learning records and assessments; and supporting new technology initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Substation experience required or journeyman-level equivalent.
Ability to travel onsite to train.
Strong presentation and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver blended training programs for field crews.
Design, develop, and update procedures such as checklists, job aids, and work methods.
Coordinate review of new and revised procedures with Safety, Engineering Standards, and other groups.
Support field operations in building equipment mock-ups and simulations for training.
Facilitate adoption of work procedures through presentations, committees, and process-improvement meetings.
Support new technology initiatives and incorporate them into training materials.
Administer learning records, testing, and technical assessments.
Fulfill assigned emergency and storm roles, which may require occasional after-hours work during company response efforts.
