Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Electrical, instrument and Control or electronics field.
• 8+ years of experience calibrating, installing, and in-service testing of relay systems, with leadership or project management experience.
• 6 years' experience commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining substation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes and maintains all work documentation or reporting.
• Develops and maintains work relationships, regional contacts and internal networks.
• Develops action plans to address deficiencies in process or employee skill and tracks progress.
• Manages staff through recruitment, training, performance management and rewards.
• Monitors technician productivity and ensures proper time charging for maintenance tasks.
• Performs monitoring and analysis for ongoing projects and identifies efficiency improvements.
• Ensures Substation Test work is completed on schedule and to quality standards.
• Leads weekly team meetings and conducts trainings as needed.
• Identifies productivity improvements and implements cost-saving work practices.
• Analyzes complex field decisions, adapts work plans, and re-estimates as needed.
• Prepares for emergencies and supports company response efforts; communicates deficiencies.
