Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks a Test Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for testing substation control house projects, delivering within budget and schedule. You will oversee test technicians, develop procedures, review test plans and reports, and drive quality improvements while ensuring safety and compliance with NEC/IEEE codes.

Strong leadership and hands-on AC/DC testing experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related work experience.
• Experience leading or managing a team of technicians.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures, NEC, IEEE Codes.
• Hands-on AC/DC functional testing experience on protection relays and MV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the test engineering team to execute AC/DC functional testing of protection relays and MV switchgear.
• Develop and maintain test procedures and schedules.
• Review test plans and reports; ensure compliance with NEC/IEEE codes.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot failures.
