Georgia Transmission is seeking a field engineer to test and commission protective relay and control systems in substations from 12kV to 500kV. The role includes developing group testing policies, procedures, and safe work practices, with emphasis on reliability and customer service.

Strong reading of electrical drawings and experience with relay test equipment are required. The position requires extensive substation test experience, PE preferred, and ability to lead junior engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• E-V requires 8 years substation test experience (6 years with PE). E-VI requires 10 years (8 years with PE).
• Multiple paths: degree in technical field with experience or non-degree with extensive testing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Test and commission protective relay and control systems in substation facilities.
• Maintain and enhance life cycle of protection and control systems per guidelines.
• Develop testing standards, policies, and procedures for transmission and distribution relaying and bank metering.
