Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Substation Relay Test Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of protection schemes in energized substations across the continental US. You will plan, execute, and document functional tests, ensure quality and conformance to specifications, and troubleshoot wiring issues.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years of industry experience, NICET or NETA level 2+, and hands-on use of Doble ProTest, SEL RTAC, and related software.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years in the industry.
• NICET or NETA level 2 or higher.
• OSHA 10 hour required.
• NFPA 70E compliance.
• FA/CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute test plans with Doble ProTest or equivalent software/equipment.
• Plan and perform functional testing of complex protection schemes.
• Responsible for overall quality and conformance to specifications of the project.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and wiring issues.
• Communicate progress and issues to Project Manager and others in management.
• Track and organize project testing documentation for closeout packages.
