Job summary

Cleco is seeking a Substation Technician II to maintain and calibrate HV transmission and distribution equipment. You will operate advanced test equipment, diagnose issues, and perform preventative maintenance on substations and transformers.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of related experience required
• Strong planning and project management skills required

Responsibilities

• Programs, calibrates, maintains and repairs electronic controls for Load Tap Changers (LTCs), regulators, reclosers and capacitor banks.
• Operates high voltage equipment testing tools and conducts oil analysis and transformer tests.
• Performs installation, testing, maintenance and repair of HV circuit breakers and power transformers.
• Adheres to all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintains SAP Equipment Maintenance database and log books for equipment records.
