Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient field execution under supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include testing high/low voltage equipment, assisting with commissioning, and documenting all work to project standards. Candidates should have electrical/engineering training and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE in substation environments.
• Perform testing of high/medium/low voltage equipment with minimal supervision.
• Inspect, test and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems and switchgear.
• Document testing and maintenance per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
