Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Compliance with Safety Performance Standards; may be tested to higher level with experience.
• Must be able to work outdoors in diverse terrain and all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Install and repair substation structures and equipment.
• Lead the crew to install, maintain, or repair substation components.
• Operate and travel as needed for training and storm work.
• Ensure work aligns with state and local building regulations per NEC.
