Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with growing independence. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on problem solving in a field setting across North America.

You will work with engineers and senior technicians, conducting functional checks, documenting results, and supporting commissioning activities while adhering to strict standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred.
• 2–4 Years Relevant Industry Experience
• NETA II Certified

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, battery systems and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance and assist with commissioning activities.
• Document testing, maintenance and repair work accurately per project requirements.
