Job summary

This entry-level role requires 2 years of substation construction experience; travel and overtime possible. You will report to the Foreman and help crews meet daily objectives while upholding safety standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or apprenticeship preferred.
• Two years of experience in substation construction or equivalent hours.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair substation wiring and equipment.
• Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical systems.
• Ensure work complies with state/local regulations and NEC.
• Report incidents and safety concerns to supervisor or safety manager.
