Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Staff Substation Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of substation structures across multiple US locations. You will collect data, perform calculations to industry standards, and develop material recommendations while aligning with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active engineering licensure (EOR) for BV projects; able to obtain required clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design engineering and analysis on substation scopes.
• Develop project specifications and assist with procurement processes.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers and guide production teams.
• Perform site visits, RFI responses, and review contractor submittals.
• Provide guidance on standards and continuous improvement.
