Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Substation Structural Engineer in a hybrid role with relocation options. You will perform structural design engineering and analysis on substation scopes, develop recommendations for equipment, and work within budget and schedule constraints.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, support construction phase duties, and help ensure quality and client satisfaction across challenging energy infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience
• Pre-employment screening may be required per policy

Responsibilities

• Execute structural analysis, calculations, and sketches for substation equipment foundations
• Coordinate with engineering team members and other disciplines
• Assist with project specifications and procurement processes
• Support site visits, RFIs, and review of submittals
• Maintain positive client relations through effective communication
