Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in a substation environment; 3+ years preferred.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions.
• Knowledge of industry standards: NEC, NESC, OSHA, NFPA.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain protective relaying equipment in substations.
• Develop written standard commissioning, testing, and maintenance procedures.
• Conduct end-to-end relay testing using relay test software.

Skills

Hands-on experience with protective relays

Proficiency in relay test software

Strong understanding of electrical theory

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Education

Associate degree in Electrical or Electronic Sciences

Completion of a Substation or Relay Testing Apprentice Program
