Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to perform and supervise electrical testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of protective relays in electrical power stations.

You will use relay test equipment to test several types of relays inside the electrical substation. Preferred candidates have a degree in electrical/electronic technology or engineering, 5 years of industry experience, and NETA III/IV certification.

Qualifications

• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings on job sites and mitigate hazards.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and other power system components.
• Install, commission, test, and function test substation control circuits on relay panels, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Manage large-scale, complex projects.
• Train Relay Technician I, II, or Relay Engineer I.
• Interact with customers and perform complex troubleshooting.
• Lead on-site project leadership and task assignment; interface with customers.
