Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Relay Technician to perform testing, commissioning, and repair of substation protective relay and SCADA control systems across Generation, Transmission and Distribution facilities.

The role requires collaboration with crews, precise record-keeping, and strict safety practices, with possible regional travel and overtime to support projects and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of Relay experience performing field protection, SCADA, and control work.
• Ability to pass PRA (Personal Risk Assessment) seven year background check.
• Comfortable leading a lower level technician in related activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay maintenance including testing and repair of protective relays and SCADA control systems.
• Commission and troubleshoot relay protection systems across facilities.
• Support planning and scheduling of crew work activities.
• Maintain accurate records and operate testing equipment.
• Communicate effectively to ensure safe, efficient work conditions.
