American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager to lead electric utility substation projects from concept through energization. You will develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and operations across multiple teams.

You will monitor scope, cost, quality, risks, and KPIs, prepare status reports for leadership, and ensure safe, on-time delivery within company standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Valid state driver''s license required.
• Experience in utilities, commercial nuclear power, and/or IT systems is favorable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multiple substation capital projects from concept through energization and project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, supply chain, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Track project milestones, critical path activities, and overall progress to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and issues and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Manage procurement activities and monitor the status of critical and long-lead substation equipment and materials.
• Ensure material readiness aligns with project schedules and construction milestones.
• Coordinate contractor activities and monitor contractor performance to ensure quality and schedule expectations are met.
• Develop, track, and report project KPIs, including safety, schedule adherence, cost performance, forecast accuracy, material availability, engineering progress, and construction productivity.
• Prepare and deliver project status reports, presentations, and executive updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action logs, schedules, risk registers, financial reports, and change management records.
• Support outage planning, commissioning activities, and project turnover to operations.
• Conduct project site visits and provide field support to ensure project objectives are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and project governance standards.
