American Electric Power (on-site) in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of substation projects, managing scope, schedule, cost, and safety from initiation through closeout.

You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning with cross-functional teams, develop KPIs, deliver status reports, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Two-year associate degree with two years of qualified experience acceptable.
• High School Diploma/GED with four years qualified experience acceptable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multiple substation capital projects from concept development through energization and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate activities between engineering, supply chain, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Track milestones, critical path, and overall progress to ensure successful delivery.
• Identify risks, constraints, and issues and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Manage procurement activities and monitor status of critical and long-lead substation equipment.
• Ensure material readiness aligns with project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate contractor activities and monitor performance to ensure quality and schedule expectations.
• Develop, track, and report project KPIs including safety, schedule adherence, cost performance, forecast accuracy, material availability, engineering progress, and construction productivity.
• Prepare and deliver project status reports and executive updates to leadership.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and change management records.
• Support outage planning, commissioning activities, and project turnover to operations.
• Conduct site visits and provide field support to achieve objectives safely.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field
