Job summary

Ampirical in the United States is seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to lead complex substations from early engineering through construction and energization. You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination while partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable power infrastructure that supports the evolving grid.

Projects may include greenfield and brownfield substations, relay upgrades, and utility modernization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 4 extra years of utility experience may substitute.
• Experience leading EPC substations in utility, consulting, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk for large projects.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full EPC lifecycle for utility substation projects from engineering to closeout.
• Lead cross-functional teams across safety, scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Coordinate design, protection & controls, civil/structural engineering, procurement and construction.
• Develop schedules, staffing plans, cost forecasts, and client reporting.
• Oversee contractor performance and outage coordination; maintain QA/QC.
