Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a skilled Project Manager for Substations to lead complex utility-scale substation construction projects across North America.

You will drive planning, procurement, construction, energization, and closeout, collaborating with customers, engineers, and field teams to deliver on-time, on-budget projects with a strong safety culture. The role requires 5+ years of project management experience, travel up to 50%, and a solid understanding of substation construction,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience on utility EPC or power delivery projects.
• Experience managing substation construction, budgets, schedules, and customer relationships.
• Proficiency with PM software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation construction projects from contract award through closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and contract requirements.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and primary point of contact.
• Develop and manage execution plans, staffing, and procurement.
• Coordinate with engineering, field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory/commercial compliance.
