Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is hiring a Project Manager - Substations to lead complex substation construction projects across North America.

You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and safety, coordinating with engineering, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver on-time, within budget, and to specification. The role requires deep knowledge of power delivery infrastructures, EPC delivery, and a proactive approach to risk, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing utility substation construction, power delivery, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, financial, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% and support North America projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation construction projects from award to closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement, and contracts.
• Maintain client relationships and be the primary contact during execution.
• Develop execution, staffing, procurement, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction managers, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
• Prepare performance updates for customers and leadership.
