Job summary

Michels Power, Inc is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager for substations to lead the preconstruction phase across utility, transmission, renewable energy, and EPC projects. You will coordinate between business development, estimating, engineering, procurement, contracts, and operations to ensure projects are properly evaluated, budgeted, and prepared for execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of preconstruction or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning: scope, budget, schedule, procurement, risk assessment.
• Coordinate handoffs between BD, estimating, engineering, procurement, contracts, and operations.
• Facilitate preconstruction reviews, kickoff meetings, and readiness assessments.
• Support contract review and ensure alignment of terms and project requirements.
• Coordinate permitting, procurement, subcontracting, and mobilization readiness.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for safe, profitable execution.
