Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in the greater Boston area. This role requires extensive substation design experience and a strong ability to interface with clients and internal teams to meet project needs.

You will contribute to the complete project lifecycle from scoping to final design, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while collaborating with designers, CAD technicians, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work in a team environment.
• Experience reading and designing substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring).

Responsibilities

• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics).
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Support project lifecycle from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Apply National Electrical Safety Code requirements to design processes.
• Attend site visits as needed and collaborate with the team in Framingham.
