Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in the greater Boston area. You will lead substation physical and protection & control design projects, collaborating with engineers, designers, and clients to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work in a team environment.
• Self-starter with minimal direction and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute substations physical and P&C design projects from scoping to implementation.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit, grounding).
• Create and check bills of materials for substation projects.
• Collaborate with designers/drafters and clients to meet project requirements.
• Perform site visits as needed and ensure NEC compliance in design processes.
