Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in the greater Boston area. The role focuses on executing substation physical and P&C design, coordinating with clients, and delivering projects from scoping to final design and implementation.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to read and create one-line and three-line drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform both substation physical and protection & control design tasks.
• Read and design substation drawings: one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit, grounding.
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C projects.
• Provide complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Attend site visits and collaborate with the Framingham office when needed.
