Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer in the Greater Boston area. You will drive substation physical and protection/controls design, read and create core drawings, and coordinate bill of materials and project lifecycle from scoping through implementation.

Occasional site visits and collaboration from Framingham are expected. The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 8+ years of related experience, strong communication, and teamwork to meet project objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 8+ years substation design experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and protection & control design projects with quality and timely delivery.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit, grounding).
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Support project lifecycle from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Apply National Electrical Safety Code minimum requirements to design processes.
• Collaborate with client standards and designers to produce required drawings.
• Occasionally visit customer sites and Leidos Framingham office for collaboration.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
