Job summary

HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked Power Delivery team. This role supports scopes, schedules, budgets, and coordination across disciplines to deliver substations on time and within specifications.

Opportunities are available in multiple locations, including Portland, Seattle, Spokane, and Ashland, OR. The position requires a PE license and a proven track record in substation design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• PE license required.
• Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.

Responsibilities

• Support preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets and ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Understand substation design including yard layouts, grounding, protection, and control systems.
• Coordinate design activities with other departments and communicate project status to management and clients.
• Mentor and supervise less-experienced staff where needed.
