Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI - A MasTec Company) seeks a Substation Superintendent to supervise daily activities of substation personnel and support the project team, reporting to the Project Manager.

The Foreman will work from Groundman to Leadman as needed on site. The role demands strong planning, supervision, and coordination skills to maintain quality, safety, and schedule adherence in field construction environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
• Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructability issues.
• Must schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
• Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute the project plan to schedule and ensure compliance with budged.
• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
• Track and communicate weekly project report and generates 3 weeks look ahead.
• Ensure project materials and workmanship meets the project quality standards and design requirements.
• Initiate and conduct project meetings with staff assigned to the project and management if necessary.
• Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures.
• Advise Superintendent of any potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts.
• Enforce site specific plans and procedures that are in line with EEI’s culture and safety requirements.
• Review and submit weekly time sheets to payroll for processing.
• Maintain the project’s daily job diary.
