Job summary

CENTRAL MAINE POWER CO is seeking a Substation Operations Supervisor to lead skilled teams in construction, maintenance, and protection across transmission and distribution substations. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, oversee switching and tagging, and coordinate with multiple departments and contractors.

The role requires strong supervisory and project management skills, with a focus on reliability, customer satisfaction, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Associates degree with 7+ years relevant experience.
• High School/GED with progression program and 10 years relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work of Substation Operations personnel and administers local department budgets.
• Oversees substation construction, modification and maintenance projects including major capital and substation automation.
• Responsible for transmission and bulk power delivery systems.
• Prepares and implements preventative maintenance programs for reliability goals and NERC/NPCC compliance.
• Coordinates with other departments and contractors, and supports safety and emergency response.
