Central Maine Power Co. is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to design substations for major capital projects across Maine and New York. You will contribute to standards, training, and project budgeting, while supporting a wide transmission system.

The role reports to the Substation Projects Coordinator and requires strong leadership, collaboration, and technically advanced problem solving within a utility setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7 years minimum relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Capital project engineering from scoping to closeout.
• Perform electrical analyses and calculations per standard practices.
• Lead and oversee external detailed designers on conceptual designs.
• Mentor and guide team in technical skills.
• Collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
