Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate with 7 years; OR HS with progression program and 10 years.
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical technology, substation equipment, distribution equipment, and control circuits.
• Strong supervisory, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be available outside regular hours for storms and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, assigns, and directs Substation Operations personnel and budgets.
• Coordinates with related departments and oversees substation projects and maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with safety rules, policies, and reliability standards (NERC/NPCC).
• Trains apprentices in protection devices, switching, tagging, and safety practices.
• Acts as division switching coordinator and provides after-hours support.
