Electric Power Systems, a NETA-accredited electrical testing and engineering organization, seeks a Field Technician II in Boise to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substations. The role requires working with minimal supervision, following safety protocols, and supporting commissioning activities while documenting work meticulously.

You will collaborate with engineers and senior technicians, travel as needed, and help maintain equipment readiness for service.

Competenze

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred.
• 2–4 years relevant industry experience.
• NETA II Certification.

Mansioni

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
• Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of high/medium/low voltage equipment with supervision.
• Inspect and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Document testing and maintenance activities per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field tasks safely and efficiently.
