Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited electrical testing and engineering organization providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance across North America. The Field Technician II role emphasizes independent testing and safe operations in substations with growth into more complex tasks.

Responsibilities include testing high/low voltage equipment, maintenance, and documentation; travel and overtime are expected, and relocation to Boise is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Background check required.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Relocation to Boise, ID is required.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
  • Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment with limited supervision.
  • Troubleshoot issues using schematics and manuals and escalate when needed.
  • Document testing and maintenance activities accurately per project standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field tasks safely.
