The role emphasizes build-ready estimates, constructability reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to position projects for successful execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong technical expertise in utility substation construction and EPC delivery.
• Experience leading preconstruction efforts, estimate development, and strategy.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, one-line diagrams, and construction work packages.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation preconstruction activities and provide technical oversight.
• Serve as SME for substation estimating, constructability reviews, and execution planning.
• Support estimating teams with plan development, technical reviews, and proposal activities.
• Review project specs, drawings, and requirements to ensure estimate completeness.
• Identify risks, constructability challenges, and opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Develop and deliver training to strengthen estimating capabilities across the organization.
• Travel up to 25% to support reviews and meetings.
